The work is indeed organized as such, with chapters such as "Distribution of Census Tracts with Negro Residents," "Unemployment Among Negroes and Whites in 1940," "Comparative Value of Homes for Negro and White Occupants," and "Infant Mortality." The text is supplemented with almost forty tables and two inserted plates. The latter illustrate the "Differences in the Occupational Distribution of Negro and White Workers of Queens - 1940" among men and women separately and "Trend in Borough Distribution of New York City Negro and White Population 1910-1945," respectively.
