Five issues of a rare amateur magazine published in Danbury, Connecticut. According to the masthead, the magazine was edited and published by "The Hornet Man" and was "Devoted to Amateur Journalism." "The Hornet Man" was a pseudonym for George M. Stebbins. Present here are the following consecutive issues published between May and September 1881: Vol. I, Nos. 5 and 6; and Vol. II, Nos. 1, 2, and 3. Each magazine includes a leading feature, plus news of other amateur periodicals, a section of short notices titled, "Casually mentioned," and advertisements.
