A rare promotional poster for the American publication of the first Harry Potter book. The book was first issued to the American public in October 1998, and this poster would have been used to advertise its publication. The poster reproduces Mary Grandpre's artwork for the dust jacket in full, with a diamond-patterned border and the publishers' logos and Grandpre's copyright notice at bottom; the title at top exclaims, "A Most Extraordinary Boy." First printings of the first American edition are somewhat scarce but attainable; this promotional poster is almost never available at all. A wonderful display item for the devoted Harry Potter collector.
