Summer School Bulletin 1954 Wiley College Marshall, Texas.
[Marshall, TX: 1954]. 15pp. Illustrated. Original pictorial wrappers, stapled. Faint old damp stain throughout, minor wear. Good condition. [with:] Five related ephemeral items. Item #13125
An unrecorded pamphlet communicating the relevant information for the summer school session at Wiley College, an important Texas HBCU. The Foreword states that it "is designed to give prospective students information concerning the opportunities offered by the College for summer study." The work also includes a registration calendar, lists of administrators, admission requirements, fees, and more, with information on housing, social life, the library, scholarships, and much more. The last five pages print the courses available to summer school students in one of five schools within the college, including the "Library Service." The two-page centerfold of the work contains four photographs featuring a Wiley dance troupe, five members of the school's varsity basketball team, a campus scene outside the women's dormitory, and eight members of the Wiley school newspaper staff hard at work.
A handful of ephemeral items are laid in, including a registration card for the College of Arts and Sciences, a "Cashier's Fee Card," schedule cards for a regular quarter session and the summer quarter, and a two-page mimeographed class schedule for the 1954 summer session. We could locate no other copies in OCLC or elsewhere.
