An apparently-unrecorded pamphlet printing the by-laws of a local Mobile union of carpenters and joiners. The by-laws cover the union’s objectives, meetings, membership, officer duties, sick benefits, and more. Membership in the union was open to “any white carpenter or carpenter apprentice over eighteen.” An early example of organized labor in the American South, with no copies in OCLC.
